It is in a cozy atmosphere that we were treated to authentic family-style Neapolitan cuisine. Chez Bartolo is the first pizzeria established in Paris. Managed since 2017 by Nicolas Valadier, Olivia Decaris, and Alexis Benezet. People come to Chez Bartolo for its famous pizzas cooked in a wood-fired oven: Margherita, Napolitana, Bartolo Calzone, Regina, Diavola, Gorgonzola, Burrata, Formaggi… E tutti quanti, and also the pasta, which is pure happiness. Starters or antipasti also have a place of honor. Endive and gorgonzola salads, vegetable antipasti, Parma ham—everything to delight the taste buds. The hot dishes are also a treat: linguine alla napoletana, spaghetti alle vongole, carbonara or al limone, grilled octopus with Marsala, osso buco alla milanese with fresh gnocchi, veal Milanese, saltimbocca alla romana, or osso bucco alla milanese. I felt like I was in Naples; all that was missing were the Neapolitans. For dessert, there is tiramisu, coppa Amarena, panna cotta with red fruits, or small babas with limoncello di Sorrento. We opted for the lemon sorbet, which is succulent and non-industrial—very important. The restaurant Chez Bartolo is open every day, from 12 pm to 3 pm and from 7 pm to 10:30 pm. Fine selection of mainly Italian wines. Terrace for sunny days. Reservation recommended.
